Safety and Warnings

The sun can be very hot even in November, so remember to use sunscreen and hats. Loose clothing with long sleeves is also recommended to avoid sunburn. All-in-one lycra surf suits are ideal for children at the beach. Ensure children keep drinking water and do not get dehydrated. Adult supervision is strongly recommended at all times. Many of the grassed recreation areas around Abu Dhabi are not fenced and unsupervised children can easily wander into the road.
It doesn’t matter if you are staying with us at the NYU Camp or staying in another Hotel, take some time to explore the city while breaking from Committee Sessions. Spend some quality time with your students and enjoy a dinner all together in the city. Abu Dhabi offers a huge variety of places where to eat. From local cousine to international food. Whether you are keen to cut the gluten, lose the fat or simply snack on less junk food, Abu Dhabi has it all.
Getting around Abu Dhabi is easy and taxis are reasonably priced and plentiful. They can be flagged down at the roadside, booked by phone or via the Abu Dhabi Taxi app available for both iOS and Android platforms.
